passionate scientist, educator, and mentor committed to nurturing the next generation of scientific leaders in Africa. Recognizing the widespread mentorship gap affecting young and emerging researchers—especially women in STEM—Dr. Adeniyi founded Africa Young Scientists (AYS). What started in 2014 as a simple mentorship initiative evolved into a registered non-profit organization on July 20, 2019, now serving as a continental platform for collaboration, empowerment, and professional growth. Driven by the belief that talent is universal but opportunities are not, Dr. Adeniyi established AYS to unite brilliant, curious, and innovative minds across Africa. Under his leadership, AYS has grown into a vibrant community that bridges young scientists with mentors, research networks, and professional development resources.
