AYS Mentorship Forum

A platform connecting young African scientists with experienced mentors to foster growth, innovation, and meaningful contributions to the continent

About the Forum

The Mentorship Forum is a cornerstone of AYS, established to provide young and talented scientists across Africa with opportunities to connect globally and make meaningful contributions to the development of our continent. This forum serves as a hub for the generation, nurturing, and launch of innovative ideas to the world.

Mentees have unrestricted access to mentors—both online and offline—who guide them throughout their careers. Our mentors are carefully selected based on the highest standards of scientific excellence, integrity, and a passion for making a lasting impact. Whether you seek guidance on research methodologies, career advancement, grant writing, or professional development, the AYS Mentorship Forum connects you with experts who are committed to your growth and success.

This forum serves as a fulcrum for the birth, fertilization, and launching of ideas to the world. It is more than just a mentorship platform; it is a community where innovation thrives, where early-career scientists find their voice, and where the leaders of tomorrow are shaped today.

What is Expected of a Mentor on AYS Platform?

The mentor-mentee relationship is built on sacrifice, commitments, and responsibilities. To discharge and execute these obligations effectively, there must be a sound and healthy agreement where mentors accept mentees honestly and sincerely, and vice versa.
